South Coast and Alps Mini Trip
Sydney to Melbourne - 8 days
This trip links Australia's
two biggest cities. On this
journey we drive along the beautiful New South Wales south
coast, with its superb beaches and quaint villages, and up
the rainforested escarpment into the southern highlands. We
travel over the Snowy Mountains where we walk to the top of
the country's highest mountain (not a big walk but a fabulous
view!). We picnic in Snowy River country amongst the mobs of
Grey Kangaroos, and explore magnificent forests of Mountain
Ash Eucalyptus regnans, the world's tallest flowering
plant. We meet up with the
Djuwin, the traditional custodians of
this country and hear of their experiences and their stories. Click here for more information.

Southern Wilderness Overland
Melbourne to Sydney - 14
days
The Southern Wilderness is our premier trip. On this trip we follow the Southern Coastline and Alps route, with a few fabulous additions: We spend
three days in spectacular Wilson's Promontory National Park
which boasts Victoria's largest area of coastal wilderness. At
'the Prom' we walk for a full day to the Lighthouse which is
perched on a peninsula jutting into wild seas. We spend two
nights at the Lightstation before returning via a magnificent
pristine beach. We also travel up to Bogong High Plains where
we experience landscapes which are altogether different from
anywhere in the world with vast plains dominated by the tough
and wiry Snow Gum. Click here for more information.

Rainforest and Beaches Overland
Sydney to Brisbane - 11 days
On this trip we follow a
similar route to our Rainforests and Beaches Mini Trip, with a few extra days to
see and do a bit more: We spend more time in the World Heritage rainforests around Dorrigo and an extra day at laid-back Byron Bay. We also travel along the Great Dividing Range and explore Bald Rock, Australia's second largest rock (after Uluru). Around Bald Rock is a good place to see the elusive Platypus and Koala as well as large mobs of Kangaroos. This is the trip for those who want to explore this fabulous region in more detail. Wild Places Camping Safari
Byron Bay Hinterland Rainforests and
Granite Country - 6 days
We cram a huge amount into this 6 day Camping Safari. As we circuit from the coast up into the Great Dividing Range we visit really spectacular locations and have the opportunity of some fabulous wildlife and cultural experiences. We have the great opportunity of spending a day and night with Bandjalang Traditional Owners: visiting sites, hearing stories, and exploring for bush tucker (food). Then we travel around the rim of an ancient extinct volcano - the largest in the southern hemisphere - visiting waterfalls and walking through World Heritage rainforests. We then spend a few days up in the granite country with crystal clear creeks and an abundance of wildlife. For more information on the Camping Safaris click here .
